How do I access Ponnivala videos?
When you register, you'll be provided with a username and password (which you must use the first time to authenticate your email address). Once you have login information, you can access any of the videos in the main menu to which your account level has access. Please understand that not all levels can access all the videos, so be sure to select the right option.
Why is my country blocked?
First of all, if your country is blocked you shouldn't even be able to see this page. But, assuming you're somehow able to access it, we do have broadcast agreements in place in various countries. Often, those agreements include exclusive broadcast rights. As streaming video is technically a form of broadcast, we keep our network partners happy by disallowing access to the site for those countries where exclusive territorial rights are in place.
How many videos do I get to watch?
As long as you have an account in good standing, you're able to watch three videos (bronze level), thirteen videos (silver level) or twenty-six videos (gold level). In fact, you can watch videos in either English or Tamil at each level, so you actually have access to two versions of each video.
How long do I have to watch the series?
That's up to you. Each episode is about 25 minutes long, and there is a total of 26 videos. So in all, the series lasts about 13 hours. Your membership is set to automatically renew every month, so as long as you maintain your subscription you can take as long as you want to watch everything.
I've watched all the videos. How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, you need to access your PayPal account and cancel recurring payments. Our system will automatically remove you from the subscription service at the end of the current billing cycle.
In other words, when you pay, you're paying for one month of access. If you cancel before the end of that month, you'll have access for the remainder of that month. On the next billing cycle (30 days later), your account will automatically be deactivated.

I've changed my mind, and don't want to keep this purchase. How can I get a refund?
If within 7 days of making your initial purchase you decide you don't want to watch the videos, use the contact form below and we will refund your purchase and delete your account. We need your PayPal email ID and transaction number in order to process this request. After 7 days, you'll need to cancel your subscription (see above), but you will have had enough time to watch all of the videos. So in fairness we won't be able to offer you a refund on your purchase.
How can I download the videos to my computer?
You can't. The videos are here for your enjoyment, and we appreciate your patronage. However, if you download the videos to your computer you'd be violating our Terms of Service, and subject to immediate removal from the subscription programme. What's more, if you do find a way to download them and you're found to be distributing our videos, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for breaching both our Terms of Service and international copyright law.
Please don't copy our videos.
Why are there ads on some of your video pages?
Ponnivala Publishing is our publications arm, and we have products we feel viewers might be interested in. To this end, because you're subscribed here as a viewer, we'd like to take the opportunity to let you know what we have available in our other product lines that go along with the Ponnivala brand. You're more than welcome to close the ad windows when they do come up.
At this time, we are not supported by third-party advertisers. As a non-profit organisation, our work has been entirely funded internally, and we ask that you help support our ongoing project efforts by considering adding our books, ebooks, or interactive ebooks to your collection.
Help! My account was blocked!
If you've been denied access to your account, it's because your login information was tracked. Our system is set up to ensure only paying customers have access to our video content. If your account is accessed from five different IP addresses within a 24-hour period, we assume you've been sharing your user name and password with your friends. The system will keep you locked out for 48 hours on the first occurrence, one week on the second, and then cancel your account on the third. We strongly recommend you don't use multiple public access accounts (such as libraries, malls, restaurants, or other public WI-FI connections) to access your membership account in a single day, or bad stuff can happen.
Can I get a new account after I've (accidentally) had my account deleted?
Sure, you can try again. However, if the same incident occurs again, your IP address will be blocked, and we will flag your PayPal account as well. PayPal will be notified of the violation, and they will deal with it according to their own terms of service.
